This is an example of the amazing things God has been revealing to me. After 10 pages of notes, these were my highlights. Keep in mind, this is only one day.
- Jesus brought heaven to earth through us. We became the portal for His presence on Earth when we were redeemed. We are the New Testament version of the Old Testament Tabernacle.
- Needing people is not an example of brokenness, it’s an example of the fundamental nature of God (within himself he is community, 3in1)
- If Christ redeemed us, our relationships should look redeemed as well. I’m challenged in living that out—asking the right questions to live out my relationships in new ways.
- Weak churches are missing pieces of their body, and instead focusing on growth and vitality they must focus on coping. We as the body of Christ must find our niche so that we can grow and breathe.
- I need to change my mindset of big church vs. small church. It’s all about championing the local church. Should every church be large? Should every church actively grow? Healthy things should grow.
- It will never be about compromising morals—it will always be about keeping doors open in people’s hearts to come back looking for Christ.
- If we offend them, we may never see them again. Show them love. Those who have ears let them hear what God is saying—let’s do it Jesus’ way. If they’re ready, they’ll hear, and if they aren’t they’ll think about how inspirational the story was and come back for more.
- Leadership is always the problem. Leadership is always the solution.
- Value isn’t based on your function
